Management Team

William E. Dutcher

Founder and Chairman

​

Mr. Dutcher has been in the oil and gas business since 1972. Prior to forming Dutcher & Company in 1987, he was a Senior Vice President of The RAM Group, Ltd., an Oklahoma City energy and financial management consulting firm. Previously, he was a Vice President of The GHK Company, an Oklahoma City natural gas exploration company, where his responsibilities included natural gas marketing and finance. Mr. Dutcher served as Executive Director of the Independent Gas Producers Committee in Washington D.C., where he led a lobbying effort to include the deregulation of deep natural gas as a part of the Natural Gas Policy Act of 1978. Earlier, he was a public relations executive with Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He also served as a U.S. Navy officer, with assignments in the Philippines and in the Pentagon. He is a 1965 graduate of The University of Oklahoma. He founded Anadarko Minerals, Inc., in 1990.

Ole Andreassen

CEO

​

Mr. Andreassen joined the company in November 2007 from the World Bank, where he worked in the oil and gas and financial sector departments and at the International Finance Corporation. Previously, he was an attorney-at-law and held positions in finance and law in private companies and the public sector, as well as academic appointments in law and economics. He has a Ph.D. in International Economics and International Relations from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, a Master in Business Management from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales in Paris, and a Master’s degree in Law from the University of Bergen in his native country, Norway. He enjoys serving on boards in education and the arts as well as occasionally teaching strategy and economics to new generations of students.

Travis Williams

CFO

​

Mr. Williams started working for the company in September 2010 as Controller and was named VP of Accounting in 2015. Previously, he spent one year as controller for an oil and gas exploration and production company and twelve years in public accounting, working at Big Four and other global accounting firms. Since 2001, Travis has focused in the oil and gas exploration and production industry. The majority of his audit experience is related to audits of internal controls over financial reporting and financial statements filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission of companies whose stock is publicly traded as well as financial statements of privately held companies. Travis has worked with companies ranging in size from Fortune 500 to small closely held private companies. He is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, the Oklahoma Society of CPAs, and the Council of Petroleum Accountants Societies.

Spencer Simon

Business Development and Land Manager

 

Mr. Simon, Business Development and Land Manager, joined Dutcher & Company with ten years of experience from Panhandle Oil and Gas and as an independent landman. He has worked in multiple states and is a member of the AAPL, OIPA, and OCAPL.

 

Matt Mayes

Manager of Engineering

 

Prior to joining Dutcher & Company in July 2019, Mr. Mayes spent four years at Antioch Energy as a Reservoir Engineer with a focus on the Arkoma Basin. He holds a Bachelor of Science in petroleum engineering and an MBA with a concentration in energy from the University of Oklahoma.

 

Steven Reynolds

Operations Manager

 

Mr. Reynolds joined the Company in 2003 and is responsible for managing all company field operations, as well as, operational cost management of our operations. Prior to joining the Company, he was our contract operations supervisor and previously held various technical and management positions with major and independent oil and gas companies in the Mid-Continent. Steve earned his BS in Business from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.

 

Jack Clay

Geology Manager

 

Mr. Clay joined the Company in 2014. He brings his 30 years of experience and expertise as a petroleum geologist, primarily within the basins of the Mid-Continent area, as he leads the Company geological operations. His responsibilities include development of existing properties and acreage positions, evaluation of properties for acquisition, and geological study to develop new play opportunities. He earned a BS in Geology from The University of Oklahoma, is a member of AAPG and is a Certified Petroleum Geologist, CPG#6247.
